Award Nomination: Reduction in support calls and handing control back to home care clients

Our project with Catholic Healthcare in Australia is up for an iTnews Benchmark Award! Enabling Catholic Healthcare’s home care services clients to access the online portal, using Single Sign On through the Breezie interface, and view upcoming visits has drastically cut inbound calls to the Catholic Healthcare support team.  This allows clients to take control of their own care as well as allowing Catholic Healthcare to focus on more complex enquiries. Read more.

Breezie to support the vulnerable in Essex with video chat

10th November 2017

ESSEX County Council, with its Local Authority Trading Company ECL (Essex Cares Limited), is rolling out a pilot study into the use of video calls as part of care packages for individuals using their short-term support and reablement service. The study has been funded by the Local Government Association (LGA), in collaboration with NHS Digital, to use digital technology to improve social care services.  Read more.

Telstra Health partners with Breezie to power MyCareManager Companion in $1.2m contract for Arcare

Arcare has awarded Telstra Health a $1.2 million contract to deliver its new MyCareManager Companion solution to more than 550 residents nationally in Australia. The new Companion module complements the existing MyCareManager solution by providing a new user-friendly interface to help seniors access a number of internet-enabled functions relating to their wellbeing.  Read more.

Confluence of factors drives new IoT business models

IoT, which ties the Breezie platform in with other technologies such as wearables and sensors, allows caregivers to check in on seniors. Pittsburgh was not on Jeh Kazimi’s radar when he eyed North American expansion for his tech startup, Breezie. London-based Breezie, a start-up which looks to “help get the elderly online”, has raised $3m Series A investment from US investors Ziegler Link Age Longevity Fund (ZLLF), alongside Clearly Social Angels and Crowdbnk. Featured in the Tech Pitch, Breezie helps the UK’s ageing population get online and socially connected through user-friendly tablet devices. Since launch last year the company has seen rapid growth through collaboration with Age UK and pilot schemes in care homes and sheltered housing associations across Britain. Read more.
